Jeremy was born on 14th March 1952. The son of Tony and Pamela Wade and future brother to Richard and Susannah. He was born at the Fanny Deakin nursing home in Newcastle under Lyme He first went to Elmhurst Primary school in Market Drayton.
A young Jeremy Wade with his fathers Jaguar XK 140 in around 1956. He would later buy this car back and it remains in the Wade family.
He then went to the Old Hall Prep School in Shropshire before following in his fathers footsteps and going to Oundle school in Northamptonshire aged 13.
After leaving school he returned to Staffordshire and worked in Stoke on Trent at a leading firm of accountants while training. He would also spend time at the works with his Father and Grandfather but his father was keen for him to have his own career path and not be forced into the family business as he was.
While very capable Dad didn’t really have a love for accountancy and it was never going to be his long term career. He was soon setting up his own business as a classic car dealer.
